Hello welcome back! I'm going to talk about my music video's comparison to Taylor Swifts original "You Belong With Me" music video. The conventions of the original music video follow Taylor's exact lyrics more. For example, Taylor says "She's cheer captain and I'm on the bleachers" and in the original music video, the evil Taylor is in a cheer costume while the good Taylor is in a ugly outfit, sitting on the bleachers. This continues throughout the music video. Another convention is that the original music video has to do with a relationship but my group's music video had to do with a friendship. In the original music video, Taylor Swift plays both the good Taylor (a blonde who is singing the song) and the evil Taylor (a brunette that has the guy that the good Taylor wants). In my group's music video, the good Taylor is the good bestfriend played by Omnia and the evil Taylor is the mean bestfriend who is played by Marlo. In the original music video, there is a guy that the evil Taylor has and the good Taylor wants and that is why the good Taylor is singing about him. In my group's music video, there is a best friend that the evil Taylor is stealing for bad reasons and the good Taylor misses and loves. The original music video conventions are not the same as the ones I did in my music video but they relate to the lyrics and fit the song very well. Overall, had a lot of fun filming this music video and I'm excited for you to see it in the next blog. Bye!

The film highlights the idea that when you feel a sense of hurt in a relationship/friendship it can cause a mental trigger for coping mechanisms such as violence or self harm. Shattered bonds brings awareness to this through the plot. Throughout the film, there are scenes showing one of the teenage girls being left out of the group and feeling a sense of hurt in the fact that nobody is including her in their conversation or activities. These feelings of hurt then revolve into resentment in the film as they do in the real world. These feelings can lead to violence against others as well as self harm. In the film, the girl being left out resorts to killing the girl t...
