I am so beyond sad that everything is now complete and filming is over. It truly was such a blast to be able to film so much with my friends and make a pretty good short film. I will miss the process of filming this short film. There were many ups and downs but overall the experience in A level media has been a fun process and I am proud of how hardworking me and my group were making this short film. 

Hello and welcome back blog. It is the final stretch and the complete process of making this short film is now coming to a close. It is a sad realization but at the same time I am so beyond proud of how hard me and my group worked and well as all the time and effort we put into this short film. The group finished filming and now the process of editing has begun. It took three full days of filming in order to get all the scenes for the short film. When Jenna put most of the scenes together in imovie, it came out to be a six minute film. There was so many scenes that needed to be cut out and shortened that she is still working to shorten it as we speak. We used the time in class to brainstorm different sounds that should be used throughout the short film. It was pretty difficult coming up with sounds to use because nothing truly fit the scenes to perfection. While coming up with that, I had a classmate named Jack peer review the short film.  Hello and welcome back blog!! I have not updated you in a little while. The group and I had been planning on what day to film and finally it was decided that today would be the day. I have already discussed that everyone has super busy lives and it is a little hard to come up for filming days. Today was the last and final day of filming. It is Monday, March 11 and right when me and my group got out of school at 2:40, we went straight to my house in order to regroup and discuss further scenes that needed to be filmed. After the group got to my house, filming started shortly after. First, I discovered that the amber alert scene needed to be filmed and that was done by changing contact names to the names of the girls in the short films and a voiceover affect of the amber alert saying the name of the girl who is missing. Then, a couple scenes of Ellie trying to call Olivia in the short film and crying, needed to be filmed. After about an hour of completing these scenes, it was then time t

 Hello and welcome back blog. It was decided that the new filming date would be Saturday March 2nd. I work from 9-5 that day but I will be going after work to film the night scenes. The only thing I am worried about is when the school scenes are going to be filmed. Very soon, editing and putting together the film needs to begin because it does take a lot of time for this to come together and our deadline is March 15 to have the movie as well as website and postcard completely done. Carleigh is still putting together the website and it is taking a bit longer than I would like because I need the link to make the QR code for my postcard. The plan on Saturday is to film more at night around 6 for it to be dark so we will be able to film the night scenes of the grave as well as when the flashbacks in the short film occur in the dark. Carleigh said that she should be getting the website done in a couple days. Jenna is going to have to start editing the film together once we get a bunch more

 Hello and welcome back blog!!! I am really sad because me and my group were supposed to film on Sunday, February 25. I had work from 9-5 that day but I was planning on going over to Jenna’s after work that day, so was the rest of the group. Unfortunately, Jenna came down with a really bad illness that prevented her from being able to film. Now, me and the group need to come up with a new filming day. Jenna has not been to school in a couple of days because of how sick she is. My group needs to get filming done soon because the short film is going to be due March 15. My group needs to discuss new filming dates but we are thinking of Friday March 1st or Saturday or Sunday. I have almost completed the postcard fully. Carleigh was making the website on Square Space and after she completed the entire site, it asked her to pay in order for her to publish the website for it to be available for the public. This was a bit of a set back because I need the link of the website to create a QR code

 Hello and welcome back blog!! Today I was figuring out some things to do for marketing our short film. My group realized that we had not come up with a name for the short film yet and we came up with a very creative name. The movie is called “Shattered Bonds”. The group and I all agreed this was a very cool name and it was the best winner compared to all the other names we had come up with. After coming up with the name of the film, I was then able to start coming up with marketing strategies. Due to some issues with social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter not letting minors under 18 make an account, my group and I want to create a YouTube and Instagram account for the short film. I asked Sofia if she could make the instagram account so when she does I will get the username. I am creating the postcard for the film and it is interesting and fun to come up with it.
