Production Blog- Continuation of filming

Hello and welcome back blog. It was decided that the new filming date would be Saturday March 2nd. I work from 9-5 that day but I will be going after work to film the night scenes. The only thing I am worried about is when the school scenes are going to be filmed. Very soon, editing and putting together the film needs to begin because it does take a lot of time for this to come together and our deadline is March 15 to have the movie as well as website and postcard completely done. Carleigh is still putting together the website and it is taking a bit longer than I would like because I need the link to make the QR code for my postcard. The plan on Saturday is to film more at night around 6 for it to be dark so we will be able to film the night scenes of the grave as well as when the flashbacks in the short film occur in the dark. Carleigh said that she should be getting the website done in a couple days. Jenna is going to have to start editing the film together once we get a bunch more scenes and hopefully finish filming on Saturday. Due to us planning on filming at night, we will not be able to get any school scenes or funeral scenes because those need to be shot in the day. This means, there will be another filming day that will need to occur after March 2nd. Sofia is not one hundred percent sure she could film that day. She says she has a bunch of things to do and might be late. The main goal is to get all of Jenna’s death scenes out of the way. I am trying to get fake blood. A knife as a prop is definitely going to be needed. The group was thinking of having the killer, me, suffocate Jenna with a plastic bag. This way it would not make a mess. I believe the killing scene would look better with a bit of blood and a knife killing scene so it looks more like a true murder crime to the audience. I am super excited to film these scenes they are going to be funny to make. Thank you for listening blog. Until next time.

Short film reasearch: ( The Last Note/Mystery) Hey blogg. Today we will be discussing an award-winning mystery short film called "The Last Note" and pointing out different features within this film. For some background, the film begins with David driving to lake while taking about leaving his wife and all his problems with her. Then David is seen with a body bag which is Catherine and dumps her in a lake. He does this due to catching ehr cheating on him the night before. Once David returns home, he starts drinking a liquor while reading a book named Murder. In the book, there was a note from Catherine and as he reads to there are flashbacks to her putting posion in the bottle. He then relazies as she write “sorry I had to do this , goodbye David” and he passes away. Short vs. full length film research

BLOG 1: Comparing 9, the short film, and the full-length movie Hey Blogg, our group will be discussing the short version of the film "9" and the full-length version along with comparing both of them. Short film version: None of our group members had ever seen this movie and seeing it for the first time it was different, unlike something we had ever seen before. First off, there was no dialogue throughout the whole film. This causes us to pay even more attention to what was happening throughout the film to better understand what was going on. For this specific short film, the plot was less obvious and required higher thinking skills as all that is given are the scenes. We understood the plot at the nearing the end of the movie. Our interpretation of the plot was that in a desolate setting that looked like a landfill site, the film begins with scenes of 9 crafting objects from scrap metal. Critical Reflection Link Critical Reflection A level Media Studies How do your products represent social groups or issues? My short film, Shattered Bonds, represents the major issue of mental health struggles that follow being left out in relationships and friendships, that so many people suffer from in the real world. The film highlights the idea that when you feel a sense of hurt in a relationship/friendship it can cause a mental trigger for coping mechanisms such as violence or self harm. Shattered bonds brings awareness to this through the plot. Throughout the film, there are scenes showing one of the teenage girls being left out of the group and feeling a sense of hurt in the fact that nobody is including her in their conversation or activities. These feelings of hurt then revolve into resentment in the film as they do in the real world. These feelings can lead to violence against others as well as self harm.
