Movie Conventions Research: M3GAN

What elements (conventions) of the genre that you chose to base your final task on does this movie have?
Some conventions of this Thriller genre that this movie has is the killing part. In the movie M3GAN, the movie builds up to where the doll starts to kill people. In our final task, the killing element in this movie will play a key role. 

What elements (conventions) of the genre did the movie have that you like?
Some elements and conventions that were in the M3GAN movie that my group liked were the sounds being Non-Diegetic and Diegetic sounds. This allowed for a more suspenseful and Thriller feeling movie. The soundtracks that were used in this movie also was something my group liked. M3GAN also has a very cool opening sequence which offers an intriguing idea.

What elements (conventions) of the genre did the movie have that did not appeal to you?
The convention in this movie M3GAN being a doll is something that does not appeal to my group. There will be no need of a doll in our Thriller genre movie. The idea of a doll killing people is not appealing to us in the style movie we want to do.

 Hello again! There has been a few changes in the filming process. As you know, the filming date for this project is Thursday, March 16, 2023. Some things have changed with the location of filming this project. This project was supposed to be filmed at my dads new and very big modern house that we are moving into in a couple of months. Things changed because my dad is renting out that house to different people before we move in. A couple booked to stay in the house starting today, Tuesday, March 14 all the way through Tuesday, March 28. This had me thinking because the people renting out the house will be there on the date that my group was going to film. Production Blog- Finally Finished Filming

 Hello and welcome back blog!! I have not updated you in a little while. The group and I had been planning on what day to film and finally it was decided that today would be the day. I have already discussed that everyone has super busy lives and it is a little hard to come up for filming days. Today was the last and final day of filming. It is Monday, March 11 and right when me and my group got out of school at 2:40, we went straight to my house in order to regroup and discuss further scenes that needed to be filmed. After the group got to my house, filming started shortly after. First, I discovered that the amber alert scene needed to be filmed and that was done by changing contact names to the names of the girls in the short films and a voiceover affect of the amber alert saying the name of the girl who is missing.
