Greetings! Welcome back. I want to talk more about filming and what the process was like. To start off a little more from the beginning, everything went smoothly. What ended up happening was Omnia and Harley came home with me from school on Thursday, March 16 and Marlo got a ride to my house from her parents. Filming started at around 5pm and sundown was at 7:30pm. My group and I used the 2 and 1/2 hours of daylight to film all the daytime scenes for this opening sequence. Scenes that were filmed were out of order due to the multiple days in the movie but only one day for the group to film. There was definitely much distraction due to the fact of my group and I being good friends and there is so much to talk about between us so it was hard to keep focus for long periods of time. Everyones ideas and opinions were heard and all of us had much creative input to give on scenes and how they should be filmed to portray the theme of the movie. Any night scenes in this opening sequence were filmed after 7:30pm and everyone left my house and went home at around 9pm. Overall, I had a very fun time filming and the whole group put in good and equal effort into getting the filming done in one day. Everyone contributed and it was a lot of fun as well as there being many laughs. Talk more next time!
The mystery short film I watched was Party to Murder by Strobie Studios. The actors gathered together at this old style mansion to play a game of murder mystery while at a masked party. Will they play a harmless game or is the reality of death knocking on their front door? The director included a plot twist which is what ultimately made the short film a good watch. At the beginning of the film the director used upbeat music and close up angles of a couple dressed in fancy attire. The upbeat music explained the mood of the couple, as they were laughing and excited for their upcoming party. However as the car approached the home the music took a turn for the dark. The music began to speed up and the musical notes selection became very ominous. A big tactic used in mysteries especially murder mysteries in plot twists. Plot twists leave the audience highly surprised making it the best way to recapture a viewer's attention. Nobody wants to sit through a movie where every scene is easi...
