 Hello and welcome back blog. It was decided that the new filming date would be Saturday March 2nd. I work from 9-5 that day but I will be going after work to film the night scenes. The only thing I am worried about is when the school scenes are going to be filmed. Very soon, editing and putting together the film needs to begin because it does take a lot of time for this to come together and our deadline is March 15 to have the movie as well as website and postcard completely done. Carleigh is still putting together the website and it is taking a bit longer than I would like because I need the link to make the QR code for my postcard. The plan on Saturday is to film more at night around 6 for it to be dark so we will be able to film the night scenes of the grave as well as when the flashbacks in the short film occur in the dark.  Hello and welcome back blog!!! I am really sad because me and my group were supposed to film on Sunday, February 25. I had work from 9-5 that day but I was planning on going over to Jenna’s after work that day, so was the rest of the group. Unfortunately, Jenna came down with a really bad illness that prevented her from being able to film. Now, me and the group need to come up with a new filming day. Jenna has not been to school in a couple of days because of how sick she is. My group needs to get filming done soon because the short film is going to be due March 15. My group needs to discuss new filming dates but we are thinking of Friday March 1st or Saturday or Sunday. I have almost completed the postcard fully. Carleigh was making the website on Square Space and after she completed the entire site, it asked her to pay in order for her to publish the website for it to be available for the public.  Hello and welcome back blog!! Today I was figuring out some things to do for marketing our short film. My group realized that we had not come up with a name for the short film yet and we came up with a very creative name. The movie is called “Shattered Bonds”. The group and I all agreed this was a very cool name and it was the best winner compared to all the other names we had come up with. After coming up with the name of the film, I was then able to start coming up with marketing strategies. Due to some issues with social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter not letting minors under 18 make an account, my group and I want to create a YouTube and Instagram account for the short film. I asked Sofia if she could make the instagram account so when she does I will get the username. I am creating the postcard for the film and it is interesting and fun to come up with it.  Hello and welcome back blog!! I wanted to say that me and my group have been communicating very well and getting things organized and put together quickly. As I predicted in the beginning of the year, I knew this group would be able to work together well. Everyone has been communicating and expressing their opinions and really helping out on all aspects of creating this short film. So far, filming has been great. Everything has been very fun and me and my group have been enjoying filming and really bringing the short film to life. I am looking forward to the next day me and my group have to film. Next time, filming is going to include visiting a small elementary close to jenna’s house. The plan is that Jenna is going to drive Carleigh, Sofia, and I from her house to the elementary. When we arrive there, the plan is to film near the entrance of the school or more towards a parking lot in some scenes.  Hello and welcome back blog! Today I wanted to talk about the filming process so far and how it has been going for me. On February 19, 2024, Sofia, Carleigh, and I went to Jenna’s house around 12 noon to film. The group agreed that everyone had their own plans at 5pm so filming would need to resume another day. Carleigh did not have a ride to Jenna’s house and luckily we live somewhat pretty close so I went to pick her up. Carleigh and I ended up arriving to Jenna’s around 12:30pm. About 45 minutes after I arrived, Sofia got to the house. The group started brainstorming what scenes needed to be filmed in Jenna’s house. Some scenes are at the mall or getting food or at the school so I had to look at the storyboard to see what we could film in daylight at Jenna’s house for today. I ended up filming about 15-20 scenes in Jenna’s house during the day.  Hello and welcome back blog! Today was a day of learning and gaining new information on different media studies and theorists. In media today, I learned about media ecology and all the ways it can help us understand filming and how to apply it to our knowledge of media. It was very interesting to learn about and realize how much our society and media has changed over the years and how well communication has transformed things in our modern society. I also discussed with my group that because of my work schedule, it can be difficult to plan what days to film for the final task. I suggested that filming could take place on days that I do not work and everyone is not busy and going to Jenna’s house for filming after school would be a good plan. Weekends are very busy for me and it would be difficult to set an exact day to film for right now.  Hello blog and welcome back! I am so very excited to be filming soon with my group. For the filming date being set February 25, i might need to discuss with my group a change in time. On this day being sunday, I work a full time job while also balancing school and school projects. On the 25th, I believe I do have work because my job is understaffed and it is much harder to be able to get days off. I would need to discuss with them maybe a better day that we would have most of the daylight to film. I want to make sure we enjoy it as much as possible. On the 10th of February, me and the girls are going to Jenna’s house for a galentines gathering and we thought it would be a great idea to get a little filming done during this time. The gathering is when the sun goes down so I am planning to film night scenes in our short film during this time.  Hello! Welcome back blog!! I am going to talk about some planning me and my group has done for the upcoming short film that my group and I are creating very soon. So far, me and my group have talked about the entire storyboard and script of short film. I came up with a couple of scenes and the group is planning on filming very soon. Me and the group have come up with the film date of Sunday February 25, 2024. There is a backup film date of February 19 since there is no school but the group needs to discuss if that date would work for everyone since some of the group members could be busy and already have things to do. The set filming date for right now is February 25. I do hope that I do not have work that day because it could throw off the plans of filming and I would need to try to call off or work around the times that I work.
